Winnie Lawrence Clark Memorial Scholarship

Value

Value and number of awards dependent on the availability of funding, but awards are generally for $500 - $1,000.

Application

Complete the MSU Annual Scholarship Application by March 1.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student seeking a BSEd degree in English or Speech or Theatre Education that has an overall GPA of 2.75. Preference will be given to non-traditional students and single parents. Awards made with regard for financial need. The scholarship will be automatically renewed for one additional year as long as the student maintains satisfactory academic progress.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. Renewed automatically to be received for a maximum of 2 years as long as the student maintains satisfactory academic progress and remains enrolled in 12 credit hours each semester.

David O. and Susan B. Belcher Graduate Scholarship

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a graduate student in the College of Arts and Letters that has an overall GPA of 3.5 and demonstrates financial need.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

Heyboer Flute Scholarship

Selection criteria

The recipient of this award will be a(n) undergraduate or graduate student properly enrolled full-time at Missouri State University. The recipient shall perform a live or video audition. The recipient shall participate in the Music Department, including but not limited to, activities, ensembles, clubs, and service to the Music Department.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

The Tom H. and Doris L. Miller Scholarship

Selection criteria

The Recipient of this award will be an undergraduate student properly enrolled at Missouri State University. The recipient must be a graduate from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, MO with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in high school.  Preference will be given to a student who has a displayed background in a field related to the College of Arts and Letters (ex: theater, dance, fine arts including vocal or instrumental music, speech, debate, English, journalism, international languages, or other activities related to art or writing or other forms of communication).  Preference will also be given to first-generation students.  A demonstrated financial need is also preferred.

This scholarship cannot be renewed. 

O. Franklin Kenworthy Memorial Scholarship

Value and number of awards dependent on the availability of funding, but awards are generally for $250 - $500.

Selection criteria

Awarded annually to a full-time student majoring in a program in the College of Arts and Letters. Must demonstrate exceptional performance in their academic field and be in good academic standing.

Renewal criteria

This scholarship can be renewed, but students must reapply to be considered for renewal. 

Riccardi Study Abroad Scholarship

Selection criteria

The Recipient of this scholarship will be an undergraduate or graduate student properly enrolled, full-time, at Missouri State University, have maintained and overall GPA of at least 3.0 or higher and be studying abroad in the next academic year. The student will be majoring in the College of Arts and Letters, and it is the donor's preference that the recipient be seeking a degree in the Art & Design Department. It is also the donor's preference that the recipient have demonstrated interest in and commitment to promoting an educational environment that is diverse and inclusive of individuals irrespective of their gender, race/ethnicity, veteran's status, disability, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity. Serious consideration will be given to all ways in which potential recipients might contribute to a diverse educational environment.
